Tim Nolan, President & CEO

Tim Nolan assumed the role of President and CEO of TOTE in July 2018.

Nolan joined TOTE Maritime in April of 2013 as the Executive Vice President and was promoted to President in January 2014. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry.

Prior to joining TOTE Maritime, Nolan served as the Senior Vice President of the International Division for Yusen Logistics Americas (formerly known as NYK Logistics). In this role, he was responsible for 20 offices including the Ocean, Customs House Brokerage, Mexico Cross Border and Supply Chain Solutions divisions.

Nolan began his career with the A.P. Moller-Maersk organization in 1994. He was selected as a candidate for the elite Maersk Management Training Program and held his first position in Trade Management working in the East Coast of South America Service. Subsequently, he held executive positions in both the Shipping and Logistics Divisions with international postings in Chile and Denmark. His most recent roles in Maersk included Regional Director, responsible for the Maersk Logistics organization in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and Sr. Director of Strategy for North America as part of the A.P. Moller- Maersk Strategy Team who was responsible for establishing the 5 year Growth Plan for the global organization.

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. He is also an alumnus of the Ohio State’s Fisher School of Business and Columbia University Executive Business Programs. Nolan lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife Jeanine and their 3 children.

Kevin D. Kendrick, Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer

Kevin D. Kendrick was named Chief Commercial Officer of TOTE in March of 2012, bringing to the organization more than 22 years experience in the transportation and logistics industry.  As CCO, Kendrick is responsible for establishing and driving overall commercial strategy for TOTE operating companies.

Kendrick began his career with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in 1991. He was selected for the elite Maersk Management Training Program and began his career as an outside sales representative in St. Louis after graduation.  Later, he expanded Maersk’s presence in the Midwest by opening and managing the company’s Kansas City office. Kendrick continued to advance in sales management and general management for Maersk Inc. before choosing to make the move to the logistics side of the business.

As Regional Director of Maersk Logistics, Kendrick gained valuable experience and a better understanding of customers’ supply chain challenges. He was promoted to Senior Director before being named Vice President of Damco, formerly known as Maersk Logistics. As Vice President of Damco he was responsible for the Southeast and Gulf States, as well as operational execution and commercial growth for all 3PL products.

Kendrick holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University and currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Lisa and their three children.

Jeff Tobin, CFO

Jeff Tobin assumed the role of CFO of TOTE in September 2018, bringing over 20 years of Finance and Accounting experience.

Jeff rejoined TOTE after a brief period as CFO of Northern Aviation Services, a Saltchuk sister company.  Jeff was previously Sr. Director of Finance and Corporate Controller of TOTE and has 10 years of experience with the organization.  Prior to joining TOTE he held various Finance roles with PACCAR, a leading manufacturer of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates.  Those positions included Director of Engineering Accounting and Cost Accounting Manager at Kenworth, Assistant Controller at PACCAR Leasing and Sr. Internal Auditor.  Prior to PACCAR he held accounting positions with a large commercial printing and manufacturing firm.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Washington University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Washington.  Jeff lives outside of Seattle, WA with his wife Julie and their 3 children.

Gene Gerrard, Human Resources Lead

Gene Gerrard brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience, having worked extensively in human resources throughout the Pacific Northwest.

As Vice President of Human Resources at TOTE Maritime Alaska, Gerrard is responsible for the development of HR policies, practices and programs to make sure they support our business strategy, shared values and culture. Previously, he was the top HR leader at SeaBright Holdings, Inc. He has also served as Vice President at Drake Beam Morin, Inc., a worldwide provider of human resources services for recruitment, training, organizational development and change management.

Gerrard received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Gonzaga University and has done graduate work in business administration at Eastern Washington University. He is a long time member of the HR Executive Forum and the Society for Human Resources Management.

Joe Misenti, General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer

Joe Misenti assumed the role of General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer at TOTE, Inc. in October 2018.

Prior to joining TOTE, Joe spent 10 years in the Alaska seafood industry, employed by Trident Seafoods Corp. and Silver Bay Seafoods, L.L.C., where he held senior legal positions as an Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel with management responsibilities over risk, compliance and human resources.

Joe began his career as a JAG Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy and served as a prosecutor, admiralty counsel and legal advisor aboard a Navy vessel deployed to the Persian Gulf.  After he was released from active duty, Joe worked as a trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice for three years and litigated admiralty cases on behalf of the federal government’s maritime agencies.  After government service, Joe spent 8 years in private practice as an associate with Troutman Sanders, a partner with Cozen O’Connor and a founding partner with Nicoll Black and Feig.  Joe recently retired as a Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve after 24 years of service.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College in North Easton, MA and a Juris Doctorate degree from Syracuse University, College of Law, Syracuse, NY.  Joe lives in the Jacksonville, FL area with his wife Leah, and has 4 children.
